Mother Facing Unplanned Pregnancy Expresses "Gratitude Forever"
For mothers facing an unplanned pregnancy, CPC offers help, hope, and healing. And… we offer all of our services free of charge!
Throughout the year, area churches, organizations, and individuals collect in large baby bottles spare change to donate to CPC. We call it the Baby Bottle Campaign, and it serves not only to raise money but also awareness of CPC’s impact and services in the community.
Earlier this year, when CPC’s accountant emptied a baby bottle, mixed in amidst the cash and coins was a note bearing these words:
“IN HONOR OF JULIE
CPC DEFIANCE
SUMMER 1997
WITH MUCH LOVE AND GRATITUDE FOREVER!”
The Julie mentioned by the anonymous donor is Julie Hagen, CPC Ultrasound Nurse Manager currently working at the Napoleon office. She has been with CPC since 1995, and recalls that 1997 (the year referenced in the baby bottle note) was before the availability ultrasound technology at CPC! After seeing this message, Julie exclaimed, “My heart is bursting!” She couldn’t wait to show it to her husband and children.
One thing is for sure: although over two decades have passed, Julie’s kindness and impact still resonate today.
Maybe you or someone you know is facing an unplanned pregnancy? If yes, it’s important to know that CPC offers free medical services including pregnancy tests, pregnancy counseling, and limited obstetrical ultrasounds.
CPC offers so much more…
But, as the note found in the baby bottle and mentioned above shows, we provide so much more! We promise a non-judgmental, safe, and confidential environment where you will be met with kindness, gentleness, and love no matter what circumstance you’re facing. You are not alone; we are here to help.
And who knows? The kind of help you find here just might impact your life in such a way that even decades later, you, too, will still be filled “with much love and gratitude forever!”
