Deana
Project Respect After-School Facilitator
Deana grew up in Northeast Ohio. She graduated from Goshen College (IN), where she met her husband, Duane. They currently live in the country near Pettisville, OH, and have four children, two of whom are still at home. She and her family attend Central Mennonite Church, where Deana is active teaching the youth, as well as helping in the library. In her spare time at home, Deana enjoys working in the flowerbeds and outside, and will take any opportunity to read a good book. She also enjoys spending time with her family and attending her children’s school/sporting events and concerts.
Deana has most recently been a 5th grade Title 1 teacher at Wauseon Exempted Village Schools, and has held various positions over the years–elementary Title teacher, gifted math teacher, 5th/6th grade teacher, substitute teacher and tutor. She enjoys the time she gets to spend with students during her after-school Project Respect sessions.
